What the extension reads

Only when you click Add to CRM on a LinkedIn profile, the extension reads that profile's details as LinkedIn shows them to you: name, headline, job title, company, location, profile URL, and any email, phone, or website LinkedIn displays to you. It does not read your messages, feed, or browsing on other sites.

Where the data goes

You review the details, then the extension sends the CRM contact save directly from your browser to the CRM sub-account you connected. The optional research and LinkKonsole capture features described below also process data on our servers. We do not sell profile data.

Optional LinkKonsole capture

When you check Save to LinkKonsole and use the existing Save action, the extension sends the reviewed LinkedIn profile URL, first and last name, job title, and company to the client workspace shown in the panel. LinkKonsole stores these as unreviewed profile details and a private capture history. This capture does not send email, phone, private notes, the KontactLens report, or LinkedIn messages. It does not send a message or qualify the person as a lead.

A workspace administrator creates a capture code that expires after 30 days and can be revoked or replaced. The server stores only a hash of that code. The extension stores the code locally with access restricted to its trusted extension pages and background worker. Pairing requires the extension's CRM sub-account to match the workspace's configured location. LinkKonsole stores capture data within the selected client workspace, subject to that workspace's access, export and deletion controls.

Prospect research

KontactLens research runs only when you click Run KontactLens. Our server and configured research providers obtain public professional and company information and prepare a report for the connected sub-account. Reports are stored for that sub-account. The public profile and company data gathered for a report is stored for your team only and reused only within your team, so your team doesn't pay for the same person twice. It is separate from the optional LinkKonsole profile capture.

Email and phone lookups

When you click Find, the extension first checks our saved records, then the enrichment providers whose keys you added. Emails and phone numbers found this way are stored for your team only, together with the company the person worked at when they were found, so your team doesn't pay twice for the same person and can see when a saved email or phone may be out of date after a job change. They are never returned to other KontactBridge customers. If you are not signed in, your provider keys stay in your browser. If you are signed in to a team, the admin's provider keys are stored encrypted on our servers for that sub-account and loaded into each teammate's browser so lookups work on any computer.

Connecting your account

An administrator installs the app into a CRM sub-account and approves limited permissions (contacts, custom fields, tags, and location name). To let a whole team use one install, our server keeps that install's connection tokens, encrypted, and uses them only to give team members' extensions short-lived access to that sub-account. Team members connect with a team code that the administrator shares; anyone with the code can add contacts to that sub-account, so treat it like a password. Reinstalling the app issues a new code and disables the old one. When the app is uninstalled, its tokens stop working and we delete them.

Signing in

You can sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Neon. We store your email address, name, which team you belong to, and small preferences such as recent tags, so they follow you to other computers. Your team admin can see the email addresses of team members and can remove anyone. Signing out removes the team's settings and keys from that browser.

The CRM contact save goes directly from your browser to your CRM. Optional LinkKonsole capture and prospect research use the server processing described above.

Analytics

The extension contains no analytics or tracking.
